“A New Day” began in 2003 for Celine Dion when she signed a 3 year, 600 show contract to perform at Caesar's Palace. Over the years, fans have cried with Celine Dion, they have laughed with Celine Dion and they has faced tragedy with Celine Dion. On December 15, 2007, fans said goodbye to Celine Dion.

The final show at the Caesar's Palace was directed by a veteran of the Cirque de Soliel, Franco Dragone. The passion and energy of the show could only be compared to that of Cirque. With booming ballads sung as only Celine Dion can sing, the fans were treated th extras, features and tears.

Celine Dion does not plan on leaving the celebrity life behind her. As a matter of fact, she plans to embark on a world tour within months after finishing her trek at the Casesar's Palace.

By the end of the show, Celine clearly was emotionally bound to the release of such a large part of her life, but remained composed as always. Her composure stayed until her son, who happened to be playing the orchestra, walked onto the stage to stand with his mom. Celine Dion instantly transformed from diva to mom.

For Celine Dion, her time in Sin City was well spent. She performed 5 nights and week for 5 years and finally decided to leave the glitz and glamor behind her for a more worldly path. Rest assured though, she will be retaining Las Vegas as her home.
